The sound of jackhammers incessantly reverberated and did painfully blare
between me left and right cranial hemisphere
which ear splitting din (unheard by no others) although to me crystal clear
annihilated any last shred of sanity and bred panic with fear
per intense crushing auditory threshold creating blinding mental glare
well nigh wrought havoc with this human organism
who feebly tried with all his might
but could not (fighting tooth and nail)
although no actual nor real cacophony one could hear
no matter all human prowess from within got exerted
yet nothing could be heard from either one or the other
acutely practiced sensitive well refined ear
or for another equally apt metaphor or analogy to bear
said tortured searing pain felt like sharp daggers being inescapably near
so...imagine if you will excruciating, insidious wrenching pincers working as a pair
whereby this chronic assault and battery crimps heavily upon psyche
tormenting core integument to suffer insidious cranial cataclysm
by being rent asunder and forsooth to witness gray matter tear
did prompt me to reel off this spluttering truth - I swear!
