    Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!

A serious condition called Status Migrainous (SM) may occur if we have Migraine pain lasting longer than 72 hours without a four-hour, pain-free break while awake. SM puts us at an increased risk for stroke. This condition needs medical care at an ER or Urgent Care. Read more on this condtion in this article: Status Migrainous - The Basics.

I am so sorry for your pain.  I suffer headaches daily and the 'bad' ones several times a month.  I am 30 and have had them since I was 5.  Do you get 'ice pick' headaches as well?  I get those about one day a month, thank goodness.  I use hydrocodone/APAP 10/500mg for the pain.  It works most of the time.  Good luck to you.
