Multiple migraines

By SamArizona Wednesday, November 07, 2007

Hello, im new on here, I started getting migraines about 4 years ago, they started off not that bad, fast forward to 4 months ago, they have become unbearable, i had been taking naproxen, tylonol and every other OTC pain meds i could get my hands on, nothing really worked. to make things worse i didnt have medical insurance and since i have severe athsma all my extra cash was going to pay for my athsma meds. finally i have insurance and im seeing a doctor to treat my headaches, we started with imitrex wich i hated and now i am on fioricet which is helping out alot but i worry about becoming dependant on it since i have a history of drug abuse (wonder if the drugs i did growing up contributed to this?) anyways i had been trying ice packs for the last couple years and now they make it hurt worse, this week i discovered heat and i am amased on how much better i feel. one question, what is the average amout of migrainess do peopl egenerally get in a day, i have had 2 today so far and it isnt uncommon for me to have 3 in one day. any insight would be greatly apreciated.

thanks and pardon my giant run on sentence and misspelled words.----sam
