I would let your boss know that you have a condition that you are managing and can carry on with your job at home. Do you have some other projects you have done recently to show her you are able to work with Migraine disease?

You're so right. We are not invalids.....bound to our beds for goodness sake.

i just managed a huge project -- a website implementation with an insane deliverable date with $1.5billion -- that's right -- BILLION in profits over the next three years -- and i did that with a daily full blown migraine. i reminded him of that, and his response? "ok."

i swear some people can be idiots sometimes.

I've received a lot of peace of mind by having my doctor sign off on the intermittent FMLA forms.  I have 4-10 days a month that I can use for migraine pain or doctor visits and it can not be used against me.  I never use that much, but it is a relief to know I have it.

How  would it be if you went to your boss quietly and told him you feel when he disbelieves you when you have a migraine and doubts your work abilities? However be very careful how you approach this. Momto2

I work for a major tv company and i suffer from migraines, i dont seem to suffer as much as most but i still need to take time off occassionally. Due to this my sick has been stopped, i understand that this is normal procedure, however i have also been giving a written warning for absenteeism and had my tv viewing cancelled! if this wasnt enough i have also been banned from doing overtime for 12 months! Has anyone else had anything as ridiculous as this happen to them? And if so is this a form of discrimination?

This animation shows one of the key causes of pain during a migraine--changes to the blood flow within the brain.
