Pending dread, anxiously awaiting,
The inflamation, the tender hints of eminent possibilities,
Negative, apprehension about unborn moments,
Waiting, knowing the impending misery,
Biding time until the demon arrives.
Announcing its arrival,
Brutal, tortuous, excrutiating and relentless,
Neverending, with its crushing pressure,
Nausea with whirling delirium,
Painful daylight, please go away,
Laying on a rock hard pillow,
Ceaseless progression of time.
Journey’s uncertain, but hopeful cessation,
Loosening its exhausting grip,
Casting a spell of hope, of potential options,
Depleted, yet relieved,
Welcome sleep, contentment,
Released from confinement,
Weary freedom.
