Hello Team Migrain!   So one of the steps the new doctor I'm seeing was to have an IV treatment.  Okay, no problem.  I don't mind needles.  Then I thought "how am I going to schedule that with work, cheerleading, and then my family life?"  Then she handed me the number for ...

    Hi Lisa I am Liz,

I am putting my share post together. I have posted in the intro forum.

First off I am so happy your IV has worked. I have the same problem with the IV as you do.  The 'typical' Iv that is used does not work on me so my neuro had to change it a little, they have a certain protocol to give me. I am so happy it is working out for you. I understand what you are saying about the needles....I think it is funny....with how much our heads are pounding, I could care less how many needles you have to use to get rid of the pain! Tongue outI hope all goes well for you!

    Truly

    Liz

Headaches can't be cured, but they can be controlled. There are many medications that can either stop the pain associated with headaches or stop the symptoms, like nausea, that accompany them. Using medication should be only one part of a wellness program.

I'm sorry you are?  And you do what again?  How often have you been suffering from Migrains and of what kind?  I want to take a moment to correct you, I don't have "headaches" I have life altering, slam your head, had a stroke, lost 7 days of my life/memory at times migrains!  I would beg your pardon if you would not call them "headaches".  At times, yes, they do have to be controlled with medications.  However, like many of my friends and my doctor will tell you, I have a high tolaerant level for pain.  I don't take pain meds right away I try to work through my headaches with my maintance meds.  So excuse the heck out of me and anyone else who chooses to take medication or an IV instead an herbs.  Sometimes you just need it.  So please go blow that smoke somewhere else.
