Topamax & bedwetting?

I have a friend who is taking Topamax and has had 2 bed wetting accidents. Ok before you laugh and say sure it is a friend Tongue honest it is. Topamax and I had a short but torrid love affair. Anyway, my friend is wondering if these two accidents (she is 50 so we have to assume they are accidents even though I tell her it is old age) since starting Topamax about 2 months ago. I cannot find any information on bed wetting being a side effect. Of course I understand if someone has and does not want to post on here (although we are all adults and friends) please if this has affected you, contact me.

I have been taking topamax for a year for hemiplegic migraine. and yes i have had bed wetting. i must add that one of my symptoms is numbness from the waist down. this can last for 2 mins - 20 mins. i am now taking carbamazepine as well (have been taking it for 2 months ) and this has reduced these attacks. i am 59 years old. i had my first attack when i was 37 and was told i had had a stroke. then another when i was 39. and was told the same. 3 years ago i went into hospital after having another ''Stroke'' to be confirmed with hemiplegic migraine. since then i have spent 3 days at least a week in bed with these awful attacks. now i am on the carbamazepine as well i hav only had 2 attacks. so i am keeping my fingers crossed.

I have had the exact same problem( age 30 something). I stated taking Topamax about a month ago, and I have not talked to my doctor yet. Promise to post if I find any new info, all I know is that bladder loss is listed as a rare side effect.

I'm 63 and have been taking Topamax for approx 1 year, and since the dosage was recently increased I've had 4 or 5 incidents of bed wetting, something I've never experienced before. My whole medication is under review. Hope this is of help.

I am a 34 year old male and have been on topamax for 2 weeks. Ive wet the bed 6 or 7 times.

this happened to me last night, i'm 29 and it freaked me out! i have been on topamax for two weeks and one week at 50mg. i either skipped my pills yesterday or switched from taking it during the day to taking it at night (i know its terrible that i can't remember)...do you guys take it in the morning or at night?

32, increased dose from 50mg to 100mg and BOOM.. I woken up soaked and ashamed..never heard of this. Now I am furious, I had a memory foam matress that has to go in the trash and I cannot afford to buy a new one. Grrrr. Still, the med has worked in so many ways I am afraid to switch (tried many others for years... aside from this it has been a miracle)
