I found relief

By Liz Wednesday, January 28, 2009

I have suffered from migraines for 25 years. I have tried many different ways to abort and prevent them.i had them everyday . It was awful, finally i decided to  take things into my own hands. I took myself off all the meds it took 6 weeks, that was bad too! Then ia had a preop visit with my doctor for some knee surgery, i told her what i did( she was mad) she took my BP and all that and my BP was 142 over 102(high)she was concerned about that so she put me on varapamil 120 mg once a day. Much to my surprise it is working. I can go days without one. That is the best feeling in the world.I just thought i would share some good news. Never give up ther is hope. Thanks  Liz

Blood pressure medications can be used for Migraine prevention. In fact many Migraineurs here take medications like clonidine and tenex to help with Migraine prevention.

Good luck and I wish you continued success.
