D****** Imitrex Ad!

By Shelen Tuesday, November 27, 2007

I just found this site today and I'm finding it very useful.

BUT, I can't believe the Imitrex ad on the side with the flashing arrows.  Why use a migraine-inducing device to advertise a migraine medication?  Every time I see it I'm nauseated.  Are they trying to drum up business in this perverse manner?

Thanks for addressing this topic.  I really never noticed the problem until I was looking at the site the other day while a migraine was not fully controlled.  Ouch!  I did not appreciate lights flashing at me.  When I saw it was an Imitrex ad, I could hardly believe it.

Shelen,

I've been in Dallas for a week, but will be contacting someone at GlaxoSmithKline to work on this issue tomorrow.

I'm realy sorry about this.

thanks for the quick response and apology!  It's irrational, but it always feels better when someone says sorrry.  I used to work in Technical Support, and said it a lot.

Thanks again

Shelen,

You're quite welcome. It's not irrational at all to feel better once you know that somebody cares enough to say they're sorry.

As a Migraineur myself, I noticed the problem with that ad the first day it ran. Pinch Undoubtedly, it was designed by ad agency people who haven't a clue about Migraine triggers. We'll just have to teach them!
