It was a good run though. I made it for 12 and 3/4 days - yes, if I had it down to the hours I would give you that too, that's how happy I am that I made it that long.
And, even though having another migraine was inevitable, this was a good thing - here's why: I got it at home, and was able to try out Imitrex for the first time. Usually my whoppers strike me at work, because, well, let's face it, that's where we end up spending most of our time, right!?!
So, I tried the Imitrex and it was good, but not something I can take while working. It did knock me out. And I had a similar reaction to that as I did with the Zomig. I felt like I had a lump in my throat. And I also felt as if my head was tightening before I felt relief.
On the plus though - the side effects were not that bad so I will as for a script at my next doctor appointment - whenever that is, and whoever that is! That way I can use the Frova for "work migraines" because I can still function on Frova (does that sound like a T-shirt to anyone??) I can see it now "Functioning on Fova" - Jamie you and I are the first to have them!!!!! LOL - and then I can have the less expensive - going generic soon Imitrex for when I am at home!!!!
It's a win/win!
