I wanted to remind us all to be good to ourselves, especially as this hot summer season approaches!

Some of us take medications that can cause us to potentially over heat quickly. I myself take topamax and I find in the summer, I have great difficulty in the heat because of this.

Also - remember to stay hydrated. No need to bring on a migraine over dehydration. I always have a bottle of water with me, especially now! I avoid drinks with a lot of sugar and try to limit how much coffee I drink, although that one is hard to do!

I know for me, I tend to migraine more over the summer because of changing weather patterns. The late daily thunder storms we've been having are a nice break from the heat, but may sometimes trigger my head.

If you tend to migraine more in the summer - don't forget to talk to your doctor about this and see if there may be something in your current plan that can be changed or added in.

Remember, summer is supposed to be about BBQ's, spending time with friends and family. The more days we can feel well, the more time we will have to go out there and live!! Laughing
