About Me

I worked full time for a hospital based radiology group for ten years. Medical billing - Oh the joy of insurance companies! I am currently working for my Father-in-law as his office manager. On the weekends, my husband and I work at a local animal shelter! I have 4 cats of my own, Minnie the Moocher, Tiger, Darwin and Chloe O'Brian. I am also currently fosterig a ferret that I've names Miss Clover Lucky Ferret. The name was thought up by a combination of people from the forum here.  And as most of you know, I am also a Community Moderator right here on Mymigraineconnection!

I attended the 50th Annual American Headache Society Conference with Teri Robert in June of 2008. It was the most informative thing I've ever had the pleasure of attending. I earned 22.75 credit hours twards continuing education.

Teri Robert's book, Living Well with Migraine Disease and Headaches changed my life! It got me active in my health care, and helped me take back my life from Migraine. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a sufferer, or to anyone who has a Migraine sufferer in their life.

I love to read and also I'm quite the movie buff. I wish I had more time to really get out there and LIVE! I wish I could have more money do to what I wanted to. Not be filthy rich though, just be able to live and not worry about it.  I am trying to find the time to travel a little more. I would love to go to Ireland (you wouldn't think right! LOL), Japan and China. I would also like to see Italy and Spain. Oh heck, I'll go pretty much anywhere! I can cook and bake. I went to culinary school. The only thing I can start and finish is a movie or a book! I am completly random in my life and thoughts. I love to write it down as it comes to me and not correct it. I have few close friends, but they are the best a person can have. It's all about quality not quantity. I am a Gemini through and through. I am indecisive and like to over analize everything.

I recently married the love of my life on 7/4/07. My husband is 4 years younger then me, and ironically is the first person I've ever dated that is younger then me. I knew the moment we got together that he was the man I would marry. We dated for a very short time, 11 months, before getting married. And before that, hold on to your hats, we bought a house together after being together for only 2 1/2! It was just one of those ment to be things! He works for SeaBreeze - they make all sorts of good stuff. They are the makers of Bosco chocolate syrup! So I bet you can guess what everyone gets for the holidays!!!

We love to play video games, watch movies, play with our cats, go to the city, and just hang out.

 As far as me and Migraine disease: I use Frova to abort. I've tried Zomig to abort but found it worked but had too many side effects for my liking. I suffer from TTH which also are possible triggers for my  Migraine with and without Aura.
