I like rosemary, and I'm thinking about trying lavender.  I've read all kinds of ideas on aromatherapy, but wondered what y'all have actually found that works for you?

I love lavender. I sometimes put a drop of lavender oil on my pillow. I quilt, and I use a garden sprayer to dampen fabric before I press it. I've got a lavender concoction in that sprayer that smells good when it sprays and when the iron hits it, too.

I like rosemary, too. But I can't grow it for some reason. I have a green thumb, but I manage to kill rosemary. I've got a bottle of that oil, too, but I don't use it much.

Years ago, Body Shop had bath oil that had rosemary and black pepper. Invigorating. I like Bath and Body's orange-ginger bath gel. It smells like Love's Fresh Lemon perfume from the early 70's. Mint is nice in the shower, too. There's a new bath shop near my DH's office. He gave me a bunch of their bath soaks for Valentine's day. Today was Coconut-ginger. It smelled like a day at the beach -- think Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil.

Teri is an expert on aroma therapy and knows all about essential oils and carrier oils and blending oils. Maybe she'll come in with advice.
