Headache Clinics
Christie
Tuesday, October 02, 2007 at 02:05 PMThere are headache clinics out there. I've been going to one for 15+ years and they know what they're doing. Go to www.NationalHeadacheFoundation.org and you should be able to see who would be closest to your area. -

No pain relief
angel30
Sunday, October 07, 2007 at 12:05 PMThis is just a suggestion, but perhaps the next time you see your neurologist you could discuss the ER visit. Your doctor may be willing to write a letter that you carry with you giving a brief summary of your extensive treatment, and even better, emergency medications that do and do not work. If so, you could present this letter during your next ER visit, giving some MEDICAL reinforcement to your complaints. Not all ER docs take migraine pain seriously, but everyone deserves to be heard.

Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!
What an awful experience at the ER. No one should be treated that way. We do have a ER form you can have your doctor fill out and take with you when going to the ER.
Are you on a preventive plan? There are many medications available to treat Migraine disease.
