Migraine is a genetic neurologic disease thought to be caused by overactive neurons in our brains and genetics. Migraine With Aura and Migraine without Aura are two types of Migraine many people suffer from.

Migraine specialists are experts in one area - Migraine and headaches. After 20 years of pain, maybe it is time to see one. We have a list of patient recommended specialists you can see HERE. Neurologists are fine doctors but it is hard for them to be experts in one area because they treat so many different conditions like MS, stroke and epilepsy. Migraine and Headache Specialists  -  What's So Special? is a great article on just this topic.
