As anyone following my posts know, I've been hospitalized for my headaches and migraines. They thought/said I had viral meningitis but I don't totally think that was true. I had bronchitis and had been taking the fortfense stuff that they make to help you fight the flu/virus's. I wonder if it boosted my white cell count. They said my white cells were really high. So...at any rate....the excruciating headaches have gone away. I am still getting minor/irritating ones. I haven't had a full blown migraine in awhile. right now they are tension headaches. I had a death of a close friends family so it has been stressful, on top of my hospitalization and haven't had time to rest and recouperate. A few things have happened that concern me.
First off, I've been so darned weak since getting out of the hospital. I blame that on the fact they kept me bed bound for almost a week. I've slowly got my strength back, but when I get really tired, it's like my limbs don't want to work. They tend to get jerky. I'm on a 100 mg of topamax. I don't know if that would cause the jerky movements (sort of had them before anyway) or the migraines have done it. I also started having problems after I got out of the hospital. After sitting awhile, particularly if I'm severaly tired, I will stand up and find I can't move. I almost fell once, when my right leg gave out from under me and a few times I had to literally LIFT my leg and physcally MOVE it to get it to work. I couldn't will it to move. I could feel it if I touched it, pinched it, but it was like the message wasn't going from my head to my leg to MOVE. I was so weak too. My daughter ran and got me grandma's cane and it helped a lot. It scared the heck out of me! I was better the neck morning after a good night sleep but its happened a couple times since. I will discuss it with my dr on the 16th.
What else should I discuss or ask if if anything??? Any comments, etc? Help!
