I was just getting off a migraine trip, thought from a Tubby's sandwich but now I wonder....and I started on another "trip"...started getting scared as it was at the back of my skull and was quite a bad one last night. I was coughing and sneezing badly too. Stuffyness was bad. I got up right away and took two benadryl (dr knows I take benadryl as needed so I assume its safe with all my meds, I only take it occasionally) and took a vicodin I have left over from the hospital. I went right to sleep of course. LOL I am feeling better and the pain is almost gone but still have some pressure. I had some quaker rice cake snacks yesterday. I looked at the bag....got them at Kroger a buck a bag for my diet the other day because they are low in calories and "healthy"...never thinking to look for msg. I looked this morning....they were in the health food aisle for crying out loud!!!!! THey have MSG!!!!! ARGH!!!!!! I am going to call the number on the back tomorrow!!! How in the world can they have a have a stamp on the back "smart choices made easy" on the back and be in the health food aisle and have msg in them? I wonder if I can have an allergy to them, I find I sneeze every time I eat msg!!!!Well, I know one thing, I definitely have to stay away from that.
I think practically everything in the stores have msg in them
!!!!!! Too bad we can't do something about that, write congress, have it banned, or something! Its so hard to see it on the labels. I can't see well and its so hard to see that small print. I get headaches just trying to see those little lables!!!!!I hate having to stay away from my favorite meals because of the msg!!!!

that a lot of the food at the grocery store has.
Linda,
You are right, there is MSG and all other sorts of stuff everywhere. Reading labels has become a time consuming processing in our lives. My children, especially my daughter, are very concerned about nutrition. I cook more from scratch than buying pre-made things. Snacks remains a difficult item. I would be happy to correspond with you to share a few things we use that contain few preservitives or that I make for us. You've had such a horrid time, avoiding your triggers is so essential for you.
Oh, one other thing, many years ago family friends young son had some type of kidney disorder and he could not have MSG. The family loved going out for Chinese food. They found a local resturant that was more than happy to prepare their orders with no MSG when asked.
Take care and let me know if you would like some additional info.
