On wednesday night I ended in the ER with a terrible migraine, it started on Tuesday night.  The pain was so bad on Wednesday night that I passed out.  Hubby carted me off to the ER. Everyone there was fantastic, they gave me IV fluids, pain meds, and magnesium sulfate. The only mistake I think they made was not admitting me because while the pain meds took my pain from a 9 to a 4  I knew the migraine was still there, alive and well, just waiting.   The ER docs thought my pain could be mananged at home with a script of Percocet. But I knew better.   So, by Thursday I was calling my Nerologist and he set up home health to come in for Iv infustion.  I only needed this one other time, that time he ordered Decadron, benadryl, and Zofran.  Since I had some side effects from the Decadron he ordered Benadryl, Toradol, and Zofran this time.  It seems to have worked, I feel much better today, I still have a slight lingering headache but I feel a lot better.   What a way to spend the week, hopefully this week will be much less eventful.
