My doctor visit

Well I had my nero appointment today and I think it went well. I walked out of there feeling like we had a plan, I felt supported by him, and I felt like he listened too. We went over what happened the end of August when my iv infusion didn't work and the nurse failed to help me and I had to go to the ER for help. My nero said he would speak with her and he feels that she has a lack of understanding about migraines. I have some new rx's,...

I began a migraine on saturday. I thought perhaps I finally got rid of today around noon. I woke up with it again but took a Maxalt, I did feel somewhat better afterward but slowly today I felt it coming back. Its like a monster, waiting for me. And now this evening here it is. Back! I am so tired of this. So, now what. I don't want to have to call the nerologist...

question about medication

I am currently taking Topamax as my prevenative and have been for awhile now, probably about two years. I take 100 mg twice a day. I was wondering if anyone has heard of adding Zonegram to Topamax or if it is a either or type of situation. I have added to my list of questions to ask the nerologist on my next visit but meantime I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that. Thanks Lori

about MRI

My nerologist recently ordered a MRI with and without contrast. I have had migraines for about 15 yrs and throughout that time I have had about 3 Mri's. I was under the impression that most of the time the Mri's are normal in a migraine patient, true? Lori

After the iv infusion I was feeling better, but I could tell the migraine was not totally gone. By Tuesday I was feeling worse, by Wednesday, I was full blown migraine. I call my nero's office and I got the assistant/nurse whatever she is. I explain to her the whole situation and she tell's me "Dr. Wilson is gone until Tuesday" then a pause nothing, silence. So I say, okay, who is filling in for...

Iv Infusion for me

On wednesday night I ended in the ER with a terrible migraine, it started on Tuesday night. The pain was so bad on Wednesday night that I passed out. Hubby carted me off to the ER. Everyone there was fantastic, they gave me IV fluids, pain meds, and magnesium sulfate. The only mistake I think they made was not admitting me because while the pain meds took my pain from a 9 to a 4 I knew the migraine was still there, alive and...
