Just had to share an amazing emergency room experience I had last night.  Some years ago a horrible experience was enough to make me swear off going to the ER for Migraine.  But I was in so much pain last night I asked the hubby to take me.  He decided to take me to Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center - since Coronado is where I had the bad experience (I brought my mom there for Migraine as well) - and I am so glad he did.

Within 20 minutes I was taken to a dark, private room.  And after a few minutes of taking my Migraine history the doctor ordered blood work and pain meds.  The staff was understanding, knowledgable and I'm happy to report no one was wearing perfume or cologne.  They were able to bring my pain level from a 10 down to a 4 in two hours - it would have been faster but I opted for injection instead of IV (because at Coronado the nurse who did my IV caused me to bleed all over the place).  Next time I'll know better :)

Thank you Sharp Chula Vista!

This animation shows one of the key causes of pain during a migraine--changes to the blood flow within the brain.
