Hi Denise,

I too started my migraine journey with perimenopause. I have had aura without migraine and just [plain old migraine.Yes it can scare the heck out of you! I am on the lowest dose of Paxil CR and I take Frova as my migraine abortive. Fioricet is used as a rescue med when you can't get your migraine to abort. I have that med as well. I did see a neurologist who confirmed my migraines. We discussed all the meds and I have had no problem at all with Frova and Paxil. Frova is one of the milder abortives as we tried others and they did not work well with my body. Make sure you find a neurologist who specializes in migraines (mine is a migraineur himself) and work together to find a regimen that works for you. Good luck.
