7/9/07 #1 - Safe to use Imigran following the clipping of cerebral aneurysms?

by  Ask the Clinician
Monday, July 09, 2007
Full Question:

Is there any current research to suggest that it is not safe to use Imigran following the clipping of cerebral aneurysms? I used to use it with great success prior to the clipping of aneurysms and as yet have not found anything quite as good. Thanks for your thoughts and input. Chris.

Answer:

Dear Chris;

I know of no negative data in the use of triptans for migraines in this situation, provided blood pressure is normal and there are no other contraindications.

Good luck,
John Claude Krusz and Teri Robert
