I am perimenopausal  and suffer from hormonal headaches 10-12 days per month.  I am not able to function with these headaches.  My Doctor wants me to take AXERT. I'm very afraid because I also have Reynauds syndrome and I usualy have some dizziness and visual disturbances with my migraines.  Usually this is mild but I have had some severe episodes with partial blindness and numbness in my extremities.  From what I can tell, these are symptoms of Basilar migraines and I know the triptans are contraindicated.  Should I be fearful?
