I feel your pain as a migraine sufferer ( hemiplegic migraine ). Sadly, a lot of doctors don't really understand the pain and the process. You need to find a migraine specialist.

I go through the same things. Despite taking a suppo for nauseas, I am miserable.

I tried so many preventive treatment...

The runny nose. hot and cold, over sleeping ( which sometimes is good, so we don't feel the pain ).

Each individual may have different symptoms and there so many....

1st, I take a hot shower then i go to bed with a few blankets, put an ice pack on the painful site ( it helps...). Sip water every couple of hours.

I found a wonderful neuro who understands the  misery of having migraine. I found out as weel that men have less compassion than female doctors. If you can, take a pain med over the counter ( ibuprofen works better than acetaminophen ). Accupuncture can be a relief, now, insurances cover botox inj.

Migraine is a complex and misunderstand condition. I know that you  miserable.

Educate your relatives and friends. The more you know, the better you understand the condition. Most of PCP have only a couple of hours during their studies regarding migraine. Like some condition, it isn't a "noble" condition.

Keep hope and research. Internet is full of infos, but do not do anything without consulting a doctor.

A sister in pain !!!!

I read your post and your migraines are JUST like mine, only mine occur on the right side of my head.  I had migraines when I was younger, and am experiencing them again.  My migraines are hormone related.  I didn't see any mention of this in your post, but after years of doctors, and meds, and reading, I know this is my trigger, and a powerful one!  I have hope that once I am post menopausal, I am now 51, the migraines will end. They started back up when I was 45.  I hope you are able to get some answers to what is causing your migraines. You are not alone, I wish you the best.
