Have you ever associated chronic occipital headaches with sarcoidosis? I have suffered with this type of headache on a daily basis for over 10 years along with many other symptoms which doctors always attribute to Fibromyalgia. The rheumatologist I am now treating with suspects sarcoidosis due to abnormal labs, chest ct and pulmonary issues, but my headaches bother me the most of all my symptoms! Meg.
Dear Meg;I don't know of any strong link of headaches to sarcoidosis (at least no published studies). I personally have observed complaints of headaches and pain in patients who turned out to have sarcoidosis. Using fibromyalgia is an unclear descriptor and many with this moniker have headaches as part of their many symptoms. It may be a part of the sarcoidosis or it simply may be a separate problem. In any case, proper treatment is the main issue, isn't it?
