I have been getting night time headaches for 1 year most nights. Once I get up, it goes away after half an hour or so, but then I am tired majority of the day. My CT scan was normal. My neurologist could not help me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. please help me! Sincerely, Mohzgan.
Since your doctor is unable to help you, it's time for you to see another doctor. Without being able to review your medical history and family medical history, fully discuss your symptoms with you, and examine you, there's not much anyone else can do directly for you. We truly wish we could tell you more, but there's really not much more we can say.
We can tell you that with Migraine and other headache disorders, CT scans and other imaging studies usually are "normal." That doesn't mean that you don't have a headache disorder that can and should be treated.
It may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It’s important to note that neurologists aren’t necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check the Find a Health Care Specialist on the ACHE web site.
