Dear bridgette

my 15 year old daughter has this.At age 5 she would see shapes, colors ETC...

She was diagnosed with opthalmic migraine. Now, she had terrible rt. side numness and all the symptoms of migraine, the triggers- stress, bright or flashing lites, smoke, odors ... 8 momths and a zillion drs and tests... she takes a product called CALM, a powdered form of Magnesiun Citrate. Its in natural food stores... just google it...less than a teaspoon mixed in water and taken at nite and WOW, all her headaches and symptoms are gone, just after a few days. When looking for places to buy it, many doctors offices came up that sell it. WHY DIDNT THE NEURO TELL US!  My Russian friend told me that a doctor in Russia told her sister about it. She has trouble sleeping. It also has many other benefits...Try it!

Jane,

Glad it works for your daughter. It doesn't work for everyone, but then nothing works for everyone. I've tried several forms of magnesium. It helps, but by itself, doesn't do enough.

For anyone considering trying this, please ask your doctor first. Even "natural" products, including magnesium, act as drugs in our bodies. They can have side effects, and not everyone should take them.

Teri
