Inderal made my head hurt worse, and it made me pass out(blood pressure too low), AND maxalt gave me this terrible aching jaw pain.

Ok so the betablockers didnt work for you, Have you tried calcium channel blockers? A tryptan(a dr fav), or anticonvulsants like topamax or neurontin? Neurontin is great as is Topamax(i take). Lastly I would say Depakote(Yikes)

ALSO*** Its important to know any side effects or interactions of your current medications(Rx & OTC), herbal supplements--who knows, they could be causing your HA.

If you are still taking any meds to cover the pain (in addition to your Rx) there is an issue that needs to be addressed with your neurologist/specialist. Please dont see a family doctor about your headaches, see somebody who knows & specializes in this!!

If you are a patient NOT seeing a specialist/neurologist, it is important to remember a few things. 1) Although heavy duty pain meds will make the pain go away --you never want to give a neuro patient heavy pain meds; it masks the symptoms of decrease neurological functioning. Also if you as a patient feel that something just isnt right, dont be afraid to ask for that MRI/CT scan to rule it out; it could save your life.
