Thank you. I am seeing a new specialist in January and will be sure to address this issue. I have been checking my bp when I am at the grocery or drug store periodically and it is usually normal.

You're welcome, Sherry!

You might think about getting a blood pressure monitory to have at home. The Omron brand are pretty dependable and usually not too expensive. Drugstore.com and Amazon.com usually have them at good prices.

We could all stand to review our modifiable stroke risks and work to minimize them.

Best of luck with your January appointment,

I will check those out. Right now I can't really afford anything - with me not working. I am still on the fence about applying for disability. I guess it's mainly because I want to get better and go back to work a.s.a.p. But I will just have to see what the new dr says. I told my DH that the poor dr is going to be overwhelmed by me and all my questions!! I have heard great things about him and that he is a really compasionnate person and really listens. That, to me, is just as important as the knowledge and experience. He also has plans for his migraine patients for SM and after hours care. I am just really looking forward to seeing him and getting started on some new treatment. Thank you so much for all of your knowledge and encouragement. It really means a lot to me.

I hear you on affording things, especially when you're about to see a new doctor. I really hope he turns out to be THE doctor for you. That can make all the difference in the world.

You're very welcome, Sherry. I know how difficult this is. It's my pleasure to give you as much encouragment as possible.Big Grin

with a hug,
