    I don't pretend to know everything about this, but I do think you could also put in for the Family Medical Leave Act in advance so that you can take portions of it when you need time off in the event of a migraine.  That way you make certain that your job isn't at risk if you do have to go home or if you aren't able to come in.  There is a form that your physician helps fill out, I believe.  Others here may have more info on that than I do.
