How do you balance your depression meds against your migraines?

In resonse to that question, there is no good evidence to what causes migraines, only what "may", or "might" trigger them. I too did that elimination with food. I did read some where that most "migraineurs" do not get them because of foods. ( I have done my research on migraines) I have suffered 16 years with migraines, and chronic headaches. Headaches I can "deal" with better, but a migraine, there is no dealing. It takes over your body. Your head feels like it weighs a ton, and you are very, very nauseated.  I agree with Dr K, and Teri, you should see a good doctor. It's hard finding someone who really listens, because I think all of us have been down that road, like Teri says in her book. "LIVING WELL WITH MIGRAINE DISEASE AND Headaches."

I fell and hit my head when I was young but, I don't know if that has to do with my migraines. They do run on my mother's side. I know for sure that it's genetic, and I don't need a doctor to tell me that. But..........with medications, you have to keep trying and try it more than once. I tried Midrin for a second time, and it seemed to work. Now, it doesn't "always" work, but it has been the best abortive medicine, no the only "abortive" medicine I found out there. Keep looking. Pray, and don't give up! Trust me, I go thru this everyday, and you can't let it beat you. Good luck!
