Karen,
The doctor and Teri are absolutely correct only the doctors can do the diagnosing.
I have experienced similar symptoms. Document all of your symptoms and take them into the doctor, preferrably a headache specialist or neurologist and insist on further testing so they can provide you the most appropriate treatment. You want to rule out anything more serious.
As icky as it may be going into the machine, MRI's are wonderful tools!
I have suffered from migraines since I was 6 years old (now 40) and have been disabled from them since I got pregnant with my son over 15 years. I have had 4 of these weird migraine episodes you describe. While I totally agree with the other posts to get these thoroughly checked out each time - mine have always come back as just a different migraine. It’s very scary though as mine have felt as though I was having a stroke going numb and blinding on the left side each time. My main concern is the number in the past few days - you really need them to make them dig deeply as you don't want it to be MS or something else, although I did pray that then I would have a "real" diagnoses that people understand and seem to "care" about more than just a headache. Please let me know what they find and how it all works out. You'll be in my prayers. We all need to support one another, as only we sufferers know the truth of what we suffer and the discrimination just headaches and the deep depression that goes along with them. Hang in there.
