    Thank you for addressing this question. I was diagnosed with occipital neuralgia earlier this year. After doing nerve blocks, medial branch blocks and nerve ablation my remaining option is an occipital nerve stimulator, but I wondered about surgery when I came across an article about it.

    I was just diagnosed with occipital nueralgia along with haveing almost daily migranes.  Does the occipital neuralgia ever go away?  I have a prodedure called a nerve blcock done.  It kinda made the headache go away but my neck is extremely sore it feels like I have a continous stiff neck.  What else can I do?
