I have been having a headache almost every day for the past 6 months. I feel pressure in the top/ back of my head like it's going to burst. My eyes frequently are blurry and I see floaters primarily in my right eye. I had a neck injury years ago and thought it might be coming from my neck. I have had an MRI of both my neck and brain with a slight bulging disc all that was found. I have been on muscles relaxers to help me sleep and it's not even touching the pain. The pain is in the same spot all the time and varies in intensity. Mostly moderate to severe. When the pain is the worst I notice my pupils are very constricted. The pain gets so bad I can't think and I get scared my brain is going to burst. I am anxious because I get worried I have an aneurysm. I have taken Excedrin tension headache, Aleve, and decongestants, nothing helping. I don’t smoke or drink, a glass of wine occasionally. I don't know where else to go. I'm getting married in four months and want to be pain free. This is taking over my life. I'm 26 and feel horrible all the time!! Please help!! Jaclyn.
Your negative MRI brain should have ruled out aneurysm, but your worry is real. I strongly suggest you seek out a headache and Migraine expert for treatment advice. If you need help finding one, there's a link below to our listing of specialists.
Excedrin, Aleve, and other simple analgesics can lead to medication-overuse headaches. You can read more about that in Medication Overuse Headache - When the Remedy Backfires.
