I read Peggy's post and identified with the joint, but wanted her to know that I get stiff joints no matter which tripan I take.  I attribute it to the migraine, not the medications.

It happened when I was in "trials" with treatments and preventative medications other than triptans.  I think the stiffness is in my joints/ligaments is related to the migraine and to a prolonged postdrome after the migraine.  When this happens (and it happens monthly because I have hormonal migraines), I feel like I have the flu, or have been hit by a truck.  Muscle aches and extreme stiffness of joints/ligaments occur during and after my migraine cycle, regardless of which medication I take.
