Let me start by saying how great it was to find this place. I can finally come and share my thoughts and pain with other people just like me. Sometime I feel so alone and nobody really understands exactly what kind of pain I am really in (especially the doctors).

They don't really do the drug thing, just alternative ways to deal and manage pain. Plus they try to help you get to the root of your problem. And I found it through one of the lists you provided. So thanks.re: Thanks for the Welcome!

Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 03:26 PMHi meanshark,
What conservation pain clinic did you make an appointment with? I to live in Atlanta and am at the end of my rope with migraine pain. I've been seeing Dr. Leslie Kelman here for over 3 years and no help. I've been on over 50 different drugs without success. Relpax is the only thing that helps and that is only sometimes. I just got off a 10-day migraine that was so severe it was hard to bear. I too have a partner who is super supportive and I don't know what I'd do without him.
Please let me know if you find a good doctor here or have any success. I wish you all the best! I know how painful this can be. I quit my job a few months ago hoping I could finally get ahold of this demon migraine problem but no luck so far. I'm doing acupuncture, which I just started. Cross your fingers for me.
All the best,

Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!
Thank you for creating a SharePost. SharePosts are a form of blogging, and there are many things you can do with them. You can share an experience, suggest something that's helped you, use SharePosts as a Migraine and headache journal, and many other things.
First let me say that I am sorry to hear you are in so much pain, but happy to hear your wife is so supportive. That is important. You mentioned you "have been through all the preventative drugs," it may feel like you have tried them all but in reality there are over 100 medications that are used to treat Migraine disease. Really, I know how discouraging it is but try not to give up hope. We can help. Check out this link for more info on preventives:

The next thing I would think about is getting to a headache specialist. In this list of recommended doctors and clinics there are two in GA.

Something to keep in mind is that there are patients who travel well over 8 hours to see their specialist.
