preventative medications

I am thinking of trying Lyrica. Has anyone had good success? I've tried a lot of different ones. Nothing is particularly great. I had a reprieve from a bad bout of Migraines after having had a surgery with anesthesia and switching meds again to Depakote and amytriptiline. Now they are returning with the same chronicity.
