Desert southwest the only place to live pain-free from Migraine?

Full Question: Hello, I am trying to get some information about weather-induced migraine.  I have been suffering from this type of headache for years, but have only recently made the connection between my headaches and living right at the intersection of the jet stream and the gulf air mass (in Little Rock, AR).  The headaches... Read moreChevron

Would myringotomy tubes in ears help with weather triggered Migraines?

Full Question:     The barometric pressure seems to be my biggest headache trigger. My ears pop numerous times when a front moves in. Imitrex helps, but makes me very groggy. Treatment is, unfortunately, strong pain meds, blood pressure meds, and in my case anti-vertigo meds. My neurologist of 18 years, who... Read moreChevron

Warnings: Why do I Always miss them?

As you well know I have been living with migraines since childhood. They have been chronic since 2001. I rarely have warnings before my migraines hit, but there is one I can usually rely on: the right nostril starts to run. I missed it on Wed. night. I was in the ER yesterday afternoon. Sigh. Maybe next time I will nail it before it nails... Read moreChevron
