TM for over 9 months, no relief?

Full Question: I have had TM for over 9 months with no releif is this normal?   My neurologist has me on Topamax, nortriptyline, clonazepam, verapamil, tizanidine/Flexeril. I've even tried Imitrex. After suffering from migraine for 12 years, I have finally found a combination of medications that have really helped me!   Has anyone else tried muscle relaxers (taken at night to relieve stress and help with sleep)? 12/10/07 #9 - 72 hours, what constitutes relief?

Full Question:I've heard over and over that if a migraine lasts over 72 hours without 4 hours of relief that I should go to the ER because of the risk of migrainous stroke...but what constitutes relief? finding relief for migraine pain

Could someone please help tell me how to find relief from my Migraine pain. This pain is after taking my daily dose of topamax then the 80mg max of relpax I can take daily. I usually try and lay still for 5 or 6 hours with the pain but then I need relief. Any movement, sound, light makes pain get really bad so I go to Urgent Care to find relief.... Read moreChevron
