Effexor and Migraines

Hi-I've been on Effexor XR for about 5+ years now.  Tried to wean myself off and did for a bit but ended taking it again after a year or so.  Withdrawals were horrible but manageable.  I'm taking 150mg/day.  Sex drive is low, as with many anti-depressants.  It did help with my cluster migraines though it came back... Read moreChevron

Help! I want to give-up!

I want to give-up on the prophylactic treatment. It is not working and I think that my headaches are worse! I have just as many headaches and I feel worse afterwards.  I have been on Zonegram for two weeks and will up the dose to 200 mg tomorrow.  I just finished a week of 60 mg prednisone, with no relief from my headaches.... Read moreChevron

Migraines return after 8 years.
