Is there any type of birth control for migraine sufferers?

I am 23 years old.  I went to my ob/gyn for birth control only to be denied because I have migraines.  The only option she would give me is an IUD.  Frankly, I would love to have birth control that does not require an operation. Is there any birth control available to migraine sufferers other than barrier methods?
