my world is closing in

I feel like my world is closing in on me.  I am to go see my neurologist on Wed.  Luckily he sees me for gratis.  Praise God because I have no money to pay him.  I haven't had any income since Feb of last year.  I haven't met his criteria to be released to go back to work.  Too many migraines in the past 90... Read moreChevron

1st abortive received -- advice on how to take needed

yesterday was headache doctor visit. in the past month, i had only 5 migraines, yay!!! he upped the topamax, said i should continue taking the zanaflex when i need it. i told him how work is not so supportive when i need to take off work b/c i have a headache and he wrote a script for an abortive called Axert, which i understand is a triptan. he... Read moreChevron

stuck in rebound

I have been suffering with migraines since I was about ten years old. They were origionally misdiagnosed as sinus headache. The pain is right between my eyes and when I apply pressure it somewhat relieves the pain. Imitrex vs Advil

Hi there, I was prescribed 200 mg of Topamax (100 mg in the morning and 100 mg in the evening), in hope that I would not require as many Imitrex.  I take Advil when the migraines are not as severe.  I would think Advil would not help migraines with aura or am I wrong?  Sometimes I feel it does not help at all. ... Read moreChevron
