What type of headache/migraine

I have a sinus infection/bad cold. Usually with these, I get a headache or migraine. The problem is, I don't know what kind of pain it is. If I take the cold medicine, is does not alleviate the migraine or headache. If I wait a couple of hours and take my migraine med it does not alleviate the pain, either - which makes me thinks...
