I was taking 300mg of topomax for migraines. The weight loss was a good side effect for me. Suddenly it stoped working, My headaches came back and so did the weight. If you restart taking the medication after 7 months will it ever work again and would weight loss be another side effect.

Hi kathy,
I really don't have the answer to this question. Potential side effects, even when starting begining a second trial of the same drug, depend on what other medications you may be taking or other conditions you have. Having said that, if you did not experience any adverse effects the first time taking Topamax, you may not with the second time around. We have information on Topamax you can find HERE.
