Q: Could moderate work over time cause migraines or appendicitis?

I have always been physically active. As a child I suffered headaches, stomach problems and at the age of 12 appendicitis.  I'm small boned and was expected to help and work around the house.  I'm just wondering if it's possible that my trying to do things I wasn't meant to do could have caused these physical problems?  I am now having additional problems that seem to be associated to  these problems.

Joy,

Migraine is a genetic neurological disease. The situation you describe wouldn't cause you to develop Migraine disease. I really don't know about appendicitis.

For some people, strenuous physical activity is a Migraine trigger, so it's possible that some of the work you did triggered Migraine attacks.

Welcome again,

Teri
