I take meds for the pain in my neck that is causing the migraines, but its not taking the migraines away. I have already tried: fioricet, and immitrex. And I only get 9 MaxaltMLT's every 45 days......yea....I just want the pain to go........!!!!

I'm not quite sure what your diagnosis is as there's no such thing as "tension Migraines." A tension-type headache (TTH) can be a Migraine trigger. Is that perhaps what you're talking about? If so, the key would be to stop the TTH before it triggers a Migraine.
Midrin is prescribed for both Migraines and TTH, so it's worth discussing with your doctor. Something else that some of us with neck and shoulder issues have found is that a TENS unit applied to the shoulders and lower neck when the pain starts will sometimes stop a TTH, without medications, before it can trigger a Migraine.
