Q: Should menopausal women with migraines avoid HRT?

I am 53 and have virtually all of the classic menopause symptoms.  I've also had migraines periodically (once or twice a month) since my teens, but they've been much more frequent the past year.  I was having a couple of migraines a week and taking no meds except Nexium for GERD and Imitrex for headaches, but unremitting "night sweats" awakened me every two-three hours, so, in exasperation, I decided to try estrogen therapy (Evamist).  One week later, hot flashes and sleep are noticeably better but headaches are now happening every single day.  Do I need to choose between a good night's rest (using estrogen) and constant headaches (no estrogen)?  Unfortunately, I don't have much confidence in my doctor.
