Q: Has anyone experienced shortness of breath while taking Topamax for migraine prevention?

I started taking 50mg/day 3 weeks ago and have been unable to get a full breath since.

Hi

Have you spoken with your doctor about this? We have lots of information on Topamax you can read about in our Topamax profile.

I really want to help you with an answer to your question, but can't, because it cannot be adequately answered online. A diagnosis can only be provided by a doctor who can review your medical history, your family's medical history, discuss your symptoms, and conduct a complete exam in person.

But the thing is only a doctor can tell what the real problem is. That's why it's important to contact your doctor when you have symptoms that are different, severe, or frightening.

Please contact your doctor, and let us know how you feel.

Nancy
