Q: Could the use of an oxygen tank at night help the oxygenation of the blood and prevent migraine?

After reading about PFO and the fact that "it can allow blood that hasn't been oxygenated by the lungs to get into the left side of the heart, thus being pumped to the brain and other organs", it somehow seems a logical step.

Hi cassis,

I haven't heard of any research done for using oxygen to prevent Migraines, and there are currently over 100 medications used for Migraine prevention. Oxygen is used to help stop Cluster headaches. You can read more about this in the article; Cluster Headaches - The Basics.

Good luck

Nancy
