Hi Jenkinds79,

I'm not sure I understand  you, do you mean you have an abscess or tumor? Those are two very different things. If you aren't clear what your doctor is saying, ask her to repeat it till it becomes clear to you, really. I've had to do that on a number of occasions Surprised.  I can't help you on the abscess, you may want to call the doctor, or nurse in the office for a better explaination of things, then let me know, ok?

But - you did said something really key in your comment - "hurting it felt like it had a heart beat and my ear..." Was that feeling, rather sound, in your in your ear? One symptom of a condition called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, aka IIH, formerly know as Pseudotumore Cerebri or PTC (whom few doctors seem to think about) is hearing your heartbeat in the ear. Another is a "whooshing" sound in the ears, ringing in ears and head pain that doesn't repsond to medication. Nausea, eye pain, vision issues are just a few others. We have lots of information on this condition you can read in this article: Pseudotumor Cerebri (IIH) - The Basics. Another important, just as important article is this one:  The ONLY definitive way to diagnose pseudotumor cerebri.

Let me know what you think, ok?

Nancy
